Dizzy's Club, Jazz at Lincoln Center

For the 2nd year, I’m honored to be debuting a brand new composition for big band at the annual BMI Jazz Composers Workshop final concert at Dizzy’s Club in Jazz at Lincoln Center. For my piece, I’ll be conducting the fabulous BMI New York Jazz Orchestra. Other featured composers include Tracy Yang, Ethan Helm, Anne Belmont, Len Pierro, Todd Anderson, Mike Malone, and Helen Sung.

Fiesta Jazz Festival

I’m honored to be returning as Featured Artist to San Antonio’s Fiesta Jazz Festival at St. Mary’s University. We’ll be presenting a performance of my quartet music on Friday evening, and then giving an educational workshop to the high school and college participants in the festival competition on Saturday. All events are free and open to the public.

The music starts on Friday, April 8th at 1pm in the Pecan Grove at St. Mary’s, and our performance is scheduled for 8pm. Saturday, April 9th, we’ll be giving a clinic in the auditorium at 12:00pm. Joining me will be Kristjan Randalu (piano), Peter Slavov (bass), and Jimmy MacBride (drums).
